A Covid and Quarantine Valentine’s Day

A Covid and Quarantine Valentine’s Day

'Tis the month of love, and even though things may be a lot different this year, you can still celebrate Valentine's Day in style! If we think of previous Valentine's Days, we've mostly jam-packed our days with many romantic activities possible. Remember Moonstruck? Ha!

From candlelit dinners to couples' massages, to exclusive and extravagant gestures, you know you go big or go home. Well, going home is where it's at these days. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, many of us are spending Valentine's Day at home - rather safe than sorry. And while that might sound "boring," it's actually the perfect excuse to plan a special indoor date or family activity.

Whether you're celebrating with your special someone, your #Galentines, or your family, we're here to help you plan the ultimate at-home Valentine's Day.

Here are our top 6 things to do at home this V-DAY:

Breakfast in Bed, But Valentine’s Style

This is a sweet and inexpensive gesture that you can get the whole family involved in. Cut out heart shape eggs, bread, and any other delicious breakfasts favourites. This will surely warm your loved-ones heart and tummy! Make it extra special by adding some Valentine’s Day cutlery from our Valentine’s Day range - a definite show stopper!

A Fun Virtual Valentine’s Day Party

This one is for the #Galentines out there. It’s totally okay if you do not have a “special” someone to celebrate this day with; I mean, Covid hasn’t allowed us many dating opportunities!

Get your girlfriends to join in on the fun by decorating their homes and enjoying a fun Galentine’s event. We have fantastic pinatas and balloons that you can send to a friend along with our delicious Valentine’s biscuits that will have everyone all sugared up! We don’t suggest you gather at one venue, but if there are only 2 or 3 of you, why not? Toast to love and friendship while beating the life out of that Pinata

Recreate Your First Date

Here's an opportunity to go all out: recreate your first date at home. It may be very different from the first time; however, you can make it very special by replaying those special moments, whipping up delicious coffee if you went there on your first date.

If you went to a romantic restaurant, print the menu and try to make one of the dishes in your kitchen. Get creative with our amazing decor, and remember to tell your love exactly what is unique about them.

A Bake of Fun

We LOVE baking! What’s more, the whole family can join in on making delicious Valentine’s day cake or biscuits. Prepare all the family favourites and enjoy together while sharing why you love each other. And if baking is just too much effort, order our delicious Valentine’s biscuits, available in different shapes and sizes.

A Dress Up Movie Marathon

It's been a tough year, so there's no stress if you decide to take a more chilled approach to Valentine's Day this year. Instead of planning a ton of activities, you can plan and enjoy an all-day movie marathon - Yes, please! To add the Valentine's twist, have everyone dress up in V-day colours and include the best romantic comedies in the lineup along with lots of delicious Valentine's snacks!

A Picnic indoors or in Your Garden

Who doesn’t love a picnic? You can make this super romantic by decorating the area with special Valentine’s Day themed decor. You might not be able to go out to the hottest restaurant in town this year, but that doesn't mean you can't indulge in a delicious food with good company! Order in and enjoy it over a candlelit picnic, or cook your own meal to share and enjoy together.

Whatever you decide, we hope you have a wonderful time, and hoping to be right there with you - in decor form, of course!
